PLEASE NOTE: This is the second year of significant changes to the submission and acceptance processes!
Submission: There will not be separate submissions for Research POSTERS. All research proposals will be submitted at the same time. There will be two formats for presentation of research:
- Paper Presentation
- Poster Presentation
Upon acceptance for presentation, the lead author will be asked to provide their preferred format of presentation. All effort will be made to meet the preference, but there will be a need to have both paper and poster presentations. As a result, some will not receive their preference.
Acceptance: You will receive acceptance/rejection notification as similar to previous years. Notification of acceptance will be followed with an email with more details of the acceptance and requesting your presentation preference. An additional communication will be made to indicate the final decision on type of presentation. Higher scoring abstracts will be given preference for paper presentations.
Innovative Idea Posters: Nothing has changed, the call for posters is also attached to this email.
Learner Centered Teaching Presentations: We have a new opportunity this year as we conduct the National Conference on Learner-Centered Teaching in conjunction with North Central AAAE.
Roundtable Discussion: As in 2018, we will have roundtable discussions. Changing for 2019 is that there will be separate call for roundtable discussions. This call will be made 4 to 6 weeks prior to the conference.

Note. Thursday will include an opportunity to engage in the 4th National Learner-Centered Teaching Conference, starting at 8AM. The National Learner-Centered Teaching Conference will also be held at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center.

Rates are King = $119 per night; Queen Suite = $124 per night.

- Detroit - Detroit Metro International Airport (DTW) consider using the Michigan Flyer for bus transportation to East Lansing (will have to use Uber or Lyft to get to hotel once in East Lansing).
- Grand Rapids - Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR)
- Flint - Bishop International Airport (FNT)
